Bluegrass Tuesdays at Lily P's
Starting at 7 pm
Lots of Great Bands Coming Soon!
Bluegrass Tuesdays began in Central Square in Cambridge in September of 1993 and has since grown to become one of the longest-running and most-successful bluegrass nights in the country. For 27 years, Tuesday Night Bluegrass was hosted by Geoff Bartley at The Cantab Lounge, welcoming regional and national artists on stage and serving as a weekly gathering place for the local bluegrass community. Bluegrass Tuesdays are now hosted by Tony Watt and held at chef Chris Parsons' restaurant Lily P's Fried Chicken & Oysters in Kendall Square in Cambridge.
On Tuesday, September 19th, we celebrated a very special occasion: the 30th Anniversary of bluegrass on Tuesdays in Cambridge! Back in September of 1993, Geoff Bartley took a chance on having bluegrass on Tuesdays at The Cantab Lounge, and it's since grown into one of the most successful and longest-running bluegrass nights in the world!
To mark this significant milestone, we are still working on a commemorative video that will reflect our vibrant community and celebrate our rich history. Everyone who's been touched by bluegrass on Tuesdays in Cambridge is welcome to contribute (both pickers and listeners), and we would be truly honored if you could join us by recording a short video sharing your thoughts, memories, and/or your favorite story. Please visit our 30th Anniversary webpage for details, and submit your video as soon as possible, thanks!
Lily P's Fried Chicken & Oysters was Boston Magazine's Best of Boston 2022 Best Fried Chicken, so please come early and join us for dinner. Lily P's is located at 50 Binney Street in Cambridge, MA 02142. This location is less than a mile from the Leverett Circle exit off I-93 and has FREE garage parking.
